Plan(t) to Cure

Azra Ibrahimagic, YES program alumna '19, from Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina along with a schoolmate from her high school, Adna Ibrahimovic, won a gold medal at the Indonesia International Applied Science Project Olympiad. The duo won the award for a project called Plan(t) to Cure under the mentorship of their high school teacher Dina Mehanovic-Hulusic. The aim of this project was to find a cure for pneumonia that is accessible to anyone. As Azra and Adna discovered through their project, certain plants lessen the use of antibiotics and have a positive effect on the human body as a whole. Congratulations Azra!
