About American Councils Bosnia and Herzegovina

American Councils Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) opened in Sarajevo in 2003 with the launch of a fellowship for newly-minted university instructors. In the ensuing years, AC BiH has administered and supported international scholarships for hundreds of educators and other professionals, as well as college and high school students.

Our office works closely with the US Embassy in Sarajevo, including its branch offices in Banja Luka, and maintains relationships with BiH’s 13 ministries of education, a broad network of local high schools, and other community organizations and entities.
